Our society continues to be a driving force in advancing the field of glovebox technology. It is truly an honor to serve as your elected president this year and to witness firsthand the passion and dedication that define our community.Our recent conference in Boston was a resounding success. Despite global travel disruptions caused by the recent cyber outage, we enjoyed excellent attendance. I was particularly inspired by the innovative applications of six-axis robotics in glovebox operations%u2014a cuttingedge development that holds immense potential for improving both efficiency and safety. I look forward to seeing how we evolve in this exciting direction. The turnout for our fundamental training session was equally remarkable, with the room nearly filled to capacity%u2014outstanding! Meeting so many new members reaffirmed that our society, like the demand for glovebox technology, is thriving. Your participation is the driving force behind the success of these conferences.Looking ahead, I%u2019m thrilled to announce that our next conference will take place in beautiful South Shore Lake Tahoe, NV, from July 28-31, 2025. Mark your calendars! I encourage you to consider submitting a technical presentation or poster and to register early to take advantage of discounted rates. This event promises to be an incredible opportunity to network, explore the stunning Lake Tahoe area, and engage in thought-provoking sessions. Our committees are already hard at work developing content and incorporating new programs to make this conference unforgettable.For those interested in contributing more actively to our society, there are many opportunities to get involved. Our Standards Development Committee is currently revising the Guideline for Glovebox Ergonomics and the standard for the Application of Linings and Coatings to Gloveboxes, developing a new standard for the Design and Fabrication of Positive-Pressure Inert Gas Gloveboxes, and scoping a potential low-pressure piping standard. Beyond standards development, we have several other committees that could benefit from your expertise, including:%u2022 Hands-On Demonstration Committee: Creates and facilitates demonstrations of new technologies at the annual conference.%u2022 Fundamental Training Committee: Develops and maintains the curriculum for the annual conference%u2019s fundamental training program.%u2022 Lessons Learned Committee: Collects and shares valuable insights from industry incidents and experiences.%u2022 Publication %u2013 Enclosure Magazine Committee: Sources content for the magazine and assists with article reviews.%u2022 Social Media Committee: Manages the society%u2019s online presence and fosters engagement.In addition to committee work, consider contributing to Enclosure Magazine.
